Making Money With Your Blog
February 08, 2009
It’s now easy to embed any html in your blog including widgets, a flickr badge, or ads from other networks like Google.
There's a simple process for uploading ads from Six Apart Media into your TypePad blog. Here's a quick overview:
Step 1: Go to Design tab.
Step 2: Add the Six Apart Media ad module.
Step 3: Paste your Six Apart Media ad tags into the module.
Step 4: Profit!
You can even drag and drop customization of ads in your blog. Neat!
I'm thinking about switching some of my ad space from Google AdSense to the Six Apart ads - does anyone know how the profits compare? Just curious if anyone has made this switch and can share their thoughts.

This new feature is great! It's much easier to customize your blog using html without switching to an advanced template. Are there plans to allow html/ads to be placed in the header area?

Hi Andrew,
Great questions. Many people have made the switch from google adsense to Six Apart Media. Performance varies, but on average, people are earning more with Six Apart Media. If you join our advertising program, you can use Google Adsense as your back up strategy and manage all of your ad spaces through Six Apart Media's interface.
I'd like to invite you to join the program, or email [email protected] if you have more questions. To join, simply follow this link and fill out the application: http://sixapart.apperceptive.com/mt/mt.cgi?__mode=adsurvey
As a member of the program, you'll have access to our educational webinars and support resources for the ad program.
