Publish quickly, edit at leisure, make the first version coherent.

Publish quickly. The network rewards the first person to show up on the scene to describe what is going on, and it's important to get a version of that story underway promptly.
Blogging words to live by. The web favors the fast and allows for constant iteration both in content and form.
& hope you have an audience to read it.
I've been blogging since 2002, including the earliest Bike blog in the USA (Retired last year), as far as I know, and gave my cat his own blog, a year ago.
I & my Cats, have covered stories no-one else has, over the years, and sometimes word spreads, and debate ensues, but I'm no Instapundit. ;-D
I, & my Cats, pride ourselves for our quality posts, and have been praised, and linked to, numerous times, by Journalists (OC Register Pet Tales Blog calls the Cat blog "A blog we Dig"), authors, and famous bloggers such as Instapundit, and Urlesque, & my cats have had letters to the editor published, and confused PETA (They think he's creative...but), but my daily traffic remained under 150 a day on the bike blog (& is still gettting visits thought it's ended), is under 50 a day on Musings of a Mad Macedonian, and is 50-150 a day on the Cat blog (Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat - http;//www.opinionatedpussycat.com ).
I've never had the time, resources, connections, and extra computer skills, to do more than I have, and am unemployed at the moment.
The last 5 months I've been taking adult school computer classes for Word 2007, Excel 2007, Powerpoint 2007, and Photoshop Elements 8.
I believe I have something very special going on with the Cat Blog (Nikita & Elvira Mistress of Pussydom do the writing...I'm just their Official Research Assistant & Photographer, and Liason with their Public.)
I'm looking to retrain for a new career, whether that will be related to my writing skills, or something else, I do not yet know.
