Did You Know?: Placing Advertisements on Your Blog
September 12, 2011
One of the best things about TypePad is that we give you complete control over your blog. This includes letting YOU decide if you want to monetize it or not.
TypePad never places ads on your blog, but if you’d like to make a little extra money by placing ads on your site, it’s very simple.
If you have code provided by an advertising site like Google AdSense, to place this in your sidebar, you would go to Blogs > Design > Content. Select Widgets, then the “Embed your HTML” option, and click the “Add this module” button. You would then paste your code into the new pop-up window.
We have more information on how to do this in the Knowledge Base.
If you have an image you’d like to link somewhere else, but don’t have the code to use, our Knowledge Base can teach you how to do this too here.
Instructions are available on how to place ads between posts if you’re using an Advanced Template set, or to have them display on only one page.
We hope you found this useful! Check back every other week for more "Did You Know?" tips to help make your blog even better!
