The Austin Grid Offers Something Different

Tom had a great idea for a new blog called The Austin Grid, focused on news about Austin, Texas, but he wanted a non-standard layout - a grid of stories with a thumbnail image from each one. He wasn't sure how to achieve this on TypePad, so he contacted our blog services team. We worked with him to refine his request and then implemented the grid design he wanted. It's a great example of what's possible on TypePad.

It was a thoughtful design choice for Austin Grid to choose a layout concept that went with the blog (grid) concept. Very nice. I set up a grid format for our category links. At a glance, a picture of each post with a link can be viewed. I did these for each of my categories. You can see a sample of how I used the grid concept for categories here:

I like that if we can think of it, it can probably be figured out and executed in Typepad.

Nice work blog services team and Austin Grid.

Looking good... I wish I lived in Austin :)
Word Playhouse is looking good, too!

Great job with the category post grid! It looks fantastic and is a great way to highlight content by grabbing people's attention with a visual representation of the posts.
